Omnia Holdings said on Friday that Helgaard Marais had been appointed to its board as a nonexecutive director in his capacity as alternate director to Dr WT Marais, with immediate effect. Mr Helgaard Marais is an independent businessman who serves on the boards of various companies involved in the agricultural sector. Business Day Reporter


Omnia shareholders are referred to the trading statement published on 8 November 2010 wherein they were advised that the group's earnings and headline earnings per share for the six months ended 30 September 2010 were expected to be at least 220% higher than those for the six months ended 30 September 2009.
